Alfred Peet was the true coffee guru who mastered the tea and coffee making to a nicety yet in his native Alkmaar. In Holland his father kept tea and coffee shop. When a teenager, Peet came to London and trained in Leapton's Tea company. Then he worked as a tea taster in Indonesia, and at the age of 35 immigrated to the USA. Full text
